Switzerland hosts peace summit on Ukraine

Nearly 90 countries and organisations to attend

Summit aims to build international support for Ukraine

Switzerland will host a summit on June 15-16 that aims to build broad international support for Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's peace plan.

The summit, which will be held in the Bürgenstock Resort in Nidwalden, has been organised by the Swiss government at the request of Ukraine.

Over 160 delegations from around the world have been invited to attend the summit, including representatives from governments, international organisations, and civil society.

Swiss President Ignazio Cassis said that nearly 90 countries and organisations have confirmed their attendance, including half of the countries in Europe.

The summit will focus on three main themes: humanitarian aid, reconstruction, and justice.

The summit is expected to produce a declaration that outlines a path towards peace in Ukraine.

The summit is a significant step in the international community's efforts to end the war in Ukraine.

It is the first time that all of the major stakeholders in the conflict have been brought together to discuss a peace plan.

The summit is a sign of hope that a peaceful resolution to the war in Ukraine is possible.
